MiOra offers certificate-based, no-barrier courses in preventive medicine, public health, and pre-med clinical experience. All courses are designed to build academic knowledge, professional skills, and applied competencies aligned with health science careers.

	Preventive Medicine Adult Immunization Course Description: Learn the basics of vaccine-preventable diseases and adult immunization recommendations. Explore vaccines as one of the greatest public health successes after clean water and antibiotics. Learning Outcomes: Identify vaccine-preventable diseases in adults. Describe CDC-recommended adult immunization schedules. Explain the role of immunization in reducing morbidity and mortality. Format: Online, self-paced.
	Adolescent and Adult Medicine Exercise and Mental Health Course Description: This course examines the relationship between physical activity and mental health. MiOra’s shadowing courses can provide students with useful clinical knowledge that can be implemented in their medical journey. Each course can provide students with 24 hours of shadowing experience along with a MiOra certificate of completion.

Pre-med Clinical Experience Hours

MiOra Virtual Medical Shadowing Part 1

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the entire patient interview and an ideal physical examination. In the real world setting, a physician may have less time and may perform parts of the physical examination rather than “complete physical examination”.
In these videos developed by the University of Wisconsin, the physician explains how to examine the eye, upper and lower extremities, abdomen, head and neck. Physician also demonstrates examination of axilla, lungs and heart. The total duration of the videos is approximately 2.5 hours. You can start and stop.
As you are watching the videos, please make sure to take notes. Take the test after you have watched all of the videos. You can take the test as many times as needed to get the 80% passing score for certification. Once paid, you have unlimited time to complete the course. You will receive 24 hr of clinical experience hours.

In these videos developed by City of Hope and Stanford, the physician explains how to examine the breast for breast cancer, skin for acne and skin cancer, back, knee, shoulder, hip, and gait.

As you are watching the videos, please make sure to take notes. Take the test after you have watched all of the videos. You can take the test as many times as needed to get the 80% passing score for certification. You will earn 24 hours of clinical experience at the successful completion of this program.
